Beavers: Greater Yellowstone’s Climate Resiliency Heroes [Spring Forward Webinar Series]

Join the Greater Yellowstone Coalition online for an exciting presentation on beavers and climate resiliency in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Did you know that beavers are one of the unsung heroes of Greater Yellowstone? These furry ecosystem engineers are more than just impressive teeth with a penchant for cutting down trees. Beavers play a crucial role in shaping the landscape around them, allowing for wetlands to flourish and biodiversity to thrive.

Leading the presentation will be GYC’s Senior Climate Conservation Associate Kurt Imhoff, a geomorphologist based in Lander, Wyoming with a special affinity for the second-largest living rodent. You’ll learn about how beavers influence the world around them and how GYC is working to support beaver relocation and beaver mimicry projects to rehabilitate riverscapes and enhance climate resiliency.
